Jernee was really trying to get a good sniff. LOL! I heard some bees buzzing near us, so I quickly pulled her away from their homestead. Photo Credit: Tremaine L. Loadholt

Jollyfit 6-In-1 Daily Kidney Function natural supplement for dogs and cats. Jernee has been in Stage 1 kidney failure for about 3 – 4 years now. However, the most recent kidney functions have been slightly more elevated than they have been over the past few years. She still has protein in her urine which she has had even longer, but the vet is concerned that these elevated functions could have sparked the seizure she had several weeks ago. She has had two vet visits total since that seizure and has another one scheduled for April 09, 2025, when the tech will collect urine from her once again for a UPC (Urine Protein Creatinine). If it is elevated again this time around, they want to either change her food (food actually designed for kidney function) or place her on meds. They will do neither. Jernee will be 17 years old the next time she goes to the vet and I will NOT have them medicating her or changing her food. I purchased the natural supplement you see above and have been adding it to her food (which I make myself and have been doing so for the last 3 years) since Saturday evening. This is the route I am taking with my baby. She will not be someone’s money pit because she’s aging. Saturday, March 29, 2025. Photo Credit: Tremaine L. Loadholt

The weekends have been a welcome reprieve given the drama and nonsense with which I am currently dealing at work. I now live for the weekends and cannot wait to race home on Friday afternoons. I do not like this feeling and I have not had it since I left my previous job, and it’s all because of one person. But I have prayed about it. I am still praying about it. And I am happy to be able to do what I love for the time being until I have made my move away from this company. Thank God for patience. Here’s hoping everyone has a lovely week ahead! Be safe out there, folks!

Zumi is such a greedy tortoise. We celebrated its “Gotcha Day” on Sunday, March 23, 2025, as the 23rd of March of last year was when I brought this little cutie home. However, this photo is from Saturday. Saturday, March 22, 2025. Photo Credit: Tremaine L. Loadholt
Saturday evening would not have been perfect if I had not gotten a shot of the Queen. LOL! Jernee was resting and knocked down her pillow moving around too much in her bed. Saturday, March 22, 2025. Photo Credit: Tremaine L. Loadholt
Sunday morning workout. On this day, I exercised the longest I’ve done so in a couple months. I did an hour. I typically do 35-45 minutes most weekends in the fitness room. Sunday, March 23, 2025. Photo Credit: Tremaine L. Loadholt
Sunday night capture. Jernee loves a good sniff around the grassy areas, and this seemed like the perfect capture, so I snapped a photo. Sunday, March 23, 2025. Photo Credit: Tremaine L. Loadholt

This past weekend gifted me a bit of peace, rest, time to read, and some beautiful weather in which to walk. I am happy the weekend was kind to me. But again, it was not long enough. LOL! I hope the week ahead will be a blessing to each of you. Thank you for stopping by!

Zumi Tye is up to no good per usual. LOL. Zuse had just finished eating a bit of breakfast: mustard greens & blackberries. Saturday, March 15, 2025.
I had to finally sit down and watch Moana 2 on Disney+. I am so glad I took the opportunity to do so. I laughed, I teared up, and I bopped my body to most of the songs. It’s such a great movie! Saturday, March 15, 2025.
A postcard arrived in the mail from one of my dearest friends and I just love this image. Don’t you? Saturday, March 15, 2025.
Elder had given us such a great breakdown of the scripture we were closing out for this past week. Matthew 22 (The Parable of the Wedding Feast). It was a great sermon and praise & worship was on point as well. Sunday, March 16, 2025.
Sunday morning workout. I needed this because I’d skipped Friday & Saturday. It was so rainy and gloomy and I guess I was just lazy those two days. I PUT IT IN on Sunday. Although I was tired afterward, it was truly worth it! Sunday, March 16, 2025.
Sunday night dinner: BBQ chicken wings (I made the sauce), baked seasoned red potatoes, and seasoned baked cabbage. Everything on the plate was made in the oven – baked and cooked to perfection. Sunday, March 16, 2025.

Overall, it was a great weekend, and I was sad to see it go. *Sighs* Weekends never last long. They come and go so quickly before you can bat an eye. I am already looking forward to this weekend. LOL! I hope you all will have a great week ahead. Take care and be kind to yourself and others.

“When it rains, it pours.” On Sunday, March 02, 2025, Jernee Timid had a seizure. It was a light episode, lasting about two minutes, and it was the first time she had one. I’ve been mentally preparing for Jernee’s transition for a few years now. The Little Monster is a fighter and seems to fight her way out of every traumatic event that has occurred to her. But this . . . this, I will not tolerate. I will not have her form a life of convulsions and episodic seizures. I just WILL NOT.

She has an appointment next Thursday with her vet for lab work and an overall checkup. They may do some other tests as well while we’re there. However, if she has another seizure, I am to call them and bring her in straight away or go to our Emergency Vet’s office. If the little one makes it to April 06, 2025, she will be 17 years old. But I have to be honest, folks . . . this really took a lot out of her, and I won’t be mad at her one bit if she doesn’t see her seventeenth birthday. I don’t want her suffering, and I will see to it that she does not.

Here’s hoping all of you had a great weekend and that you’ll have a wondrous week ahead as well.

Peace and blessings.
