This past weekend didn’t last long enough. I was happy to catch up with fellow blogger, fiction and poetry WP phenomenon, K.L. Laettner. She doesn’t post on WordPress nearly as much as she used to, but you can still peruse her website. Also, check out her books, too! Jernee and Zumi were a TIME! But I do enjoy their company. They keep a smile on my face. I pray this week will be more than kind to all of you!

I lived. I loved. I ate delicious food. I am better for having done so.

A friend who is a gem (and like my kid sister), Diamond. We both worked for the contracted company of our bigger, more established company. And now that the contracted company will no longer be a thing, we are linked to each other’s lives in a way I am not with any other co-worker I have ever had. We’ve been through A LOT, and we’re still standing, still smiling, and still here for each other. The lunch spot was her suggestion. Saturday, May 24, 2025. Photo Credit: Tremaine L. Loadholt
She is yet another person who understands my silliness. At 23 years old, Diamond must’ve been here before. I am grateful for her presence in my life. Saturday, May 24, 2025. Photo Credit: Tremaine L. Loadholt

The movie theater. Sinners was the feature. Although it was a good movie, the hype about it was TEN TIMES BETTER. This was before six more people entered this theater. Sunday, May 25, 2025. Photo Credit: Tremaine L. Loadholt

Manifestation Monday: On Memorial Day, a small part of my day included watching/listening to an audiobook, How to Talk to the Universe. The link was sent to me by one of my long-time friends, Raina. Monday, May 26, 2025. Photo Credit: Tremaine L. Loadholt
I needed this break from working. I ended my time with the contracted company on Wednesday, May 21, 2025. Thursday and Friday were spent attending doctors’ appointments, visiting my cousin in the hospital, and enjoying every moment I could.
I am ready to take on whatever is headed my way, and I welcome it all with open arms.
I hope this week will be more than kind to all of you. Peace and blessings!

Contemplative Tre: My neighborhood has a new playground and dog-bark park now. The complex is huge, so to have these additions blows my mind. I was taking a bit of a rest since we walked at least a 1/2 mile to get to it. Jernee was sniffing around, as you can see in the photo below. Saturday, May 03, 2025. Photo Credit: Tremaine L. I love going to Caison’s games. It doesn’t matter which sport it is, I try my best to get to as many as I can. Jaidy is supposed to be playing basketball next season, and I will be at as many of her games as I can make it to, also. Friday night was peaceful. Saturday morning was intense with my workout before getting ready for the soccer game. Sunday was a day I needed and did not know it. Overall, it was a peaceful yet fulfilling weekend. I hope this week has been and will be more than kind to all of you!

I will share “Something To Think About” for the next five weeks on Sunday afternoons. It may be a quote, a picture, an interesting phrase I heard, artwork, etc. Whatever I share will surely be intriguing or involving enough to spark a casual discussion or in-depth conversation. Stay tuned every Sunday for this feature!

Saturday morning workout. I decided to cool down in the aerobics room. The fitness room was getting a little too crowded for my taste. And by “crowded,” I mean, two other people came in there. LOL! Saturday, April 19, 2025. Photo Credit: Tremaine L. Loadholt

Please don’t ask me why she looks like she has lost her VERY best friend. Jernee is attitudinal these days. I never know what I am going to get when she wakes up. I just deal with it. She’s 17- she has earned the right to be a super duper grouch, and I will just be okay with it. LOL! Saturday, April 19, 2025. Photo Credit: Tremaine L. Loadholt
I did not go to the fitness room on Sunday. I decided to do a 2-mile walk around my neighborhood instead. I was feeling bound up and a bit more stressed than normal, so being outside in the early morning breeze was better than being cooped up in the fitness room in the basement. Sunday, April 20, 2025. in the heat of the glory days & sun-soaked nights
haven’t had the pleasure to enjoy basking in the goodness of a secret shared in decades – my glory days and sun-soaked nights are winding down.
soon, I’ll spend them with a sandman who knows all about losing sleep over full lips instead of a broken heart.

she wears an evil smirk on her solemn face — lips pursed and puckered at the same time. how odd?! I think . . . but she glides across the pathway, feet floating — cloudlike is the journey, and I watch her wade into the waters of my overthinking mind.
should I remind her about the boiling pot on the stove or the apple pie in the oven?
neither of them can hold her attention like I can.
