A Sunday Funny Post For Your Viewing (and Laughing) Pleasure

Because laughter is the best cure-all

Flying Spirit Airlines be Like . . .

I have never traveled by way of Spirit Airlines, and judging by all the funny videos about their business and customer service or lack thereof, I am not missing much. LOL!

I had a fantastic break–it was much needed! I hope every single one of you has enjoyed this week, and that you’ve learned something new, hugged a stranger, loved on and embraced a family member or two, and read until your heart’s content. I am back, honey bunnies! What did I miss?!

Have you gotten your copy of my new book: a collection of serial tales & flash fiction, Séduire (E-Book and Paperback) yet?

My Sunday Morning Smiles

Left: Caison Michael holding his basketball trophy proudly with a semi-toothless smile. Right: Jernee Timid resting on my cousin’s floor

I woke up with his
face tattooed on my brain;
such a handsome boy with
a smile to shake the world.
He gives me hope.
He lends me peace.
His innocence is contagious.

My old girl rests her
tired body on my cousin’s
carpeted hardwoods; a full
morning of racing through
time has drained her.
She calms my nerves.
She centers my spirit.
She saves me from myself.

And as Sunday kicks off
with temperatures that have
tanked overnight, I wonder
what the constant change of
weather will do to my
head and heart today, but
I’m still smiling because
of a growing boy and an
aging dog.

“GINGER! You lookin’ cute, friend!”

My best friend shared the following video with me a few days back when I was not feeling like my normal self. The day had pummeled me and I was just trying to find the strength to cook dinner and enjoy it afterward. As soon as I opened up the link, I awaited the goodness bound to attract me. I mean . . . A video call, a dog, dog’s best friends, and comedy too. What’s not to love about this video?

I have watched it at least twenty times now and each time, I laugh heartily. Ginger reminds me a great deal of my Jernee–forever giving me attitude when I want something from her but would have a royal fit if I ever ignored her. Lol.

Dog owners, I can almost feel you agreeing with me.

Let this video loan you a little sunshine.
