It was a lovely weekend. I’m glad I could truly enjoy spending time with my mom. I did quite a bit of reading, watered my plants, cooked, and loved on my personality-filled pets. Here’s hoping you had a great weekend, and that the week is being kind to you, too.
Have you gotten your copy of my new book: a collection of serial tales & flash fiction, Séduire (E-Book and Paperback) yet?
Loving the pets. I’m thinking of getting one. And time with mom is always a good thing for me too. You seemed to have had a good day that time. I’m worried about that strapped up knee, though. Hope it’s getting better.
Thanks, Nigel! Eh, aging brings on things we either have to adapt to or find workarounds for. This knee isn’t going to be my downfall. You can count on that! 🙏🏾🩵
Amen. Ihu about aging though. Glad you’re looking after your physical health, Tre. I hope you hit that sweet spot with your training and the energy lasts a long time.
Haha. We love Zumi (the tortoise) in this household. LOL. Ahh, the kale. It’s kale, yellow & orange peppers, onions, and tomatoes. You choose your choice of spices–I do not use salt. I use pepper, Tabitha Brown’s “Sunshine Seasoning”, Tabitha Brown’s “Like Sweet Like Smoky,” an organic Ethiopian 12-spice blend, Everglades seasoning, pepper, and garlic salt. I boil all veggies in a big pot for about 45 minutes on medium high, then reduce to a simmer on low for about 15 more minutes.
I am not good with recipes, I tend to cook from the heart/soul and I don’t measure anything. I hope this helps. Thank you for stopping by!
thanks mucho — yes that gives me enough of an idea to get going with it. Though I will have to look up some of these spices you mention! Everglades… wow.
Agreed! It was a special request from my babyboy… who’s actually 35 – 🤣… and is recuperating from shoulder surgery. He used the old sympathy play – how could I say no? 🤣
I honestly don’t know. I just woke up one day a few months back, and it was hurting and popping and makes the occasional clicking sound every so often. It doesn’t hurt all the time, though. But I find it best to wear a sleeve or brace when I walk (as exercise) or workout.
I have my annual exam on 02/18. I will be discussing it with my provider. 🙏🏾🩵
Love it…love the shirt…beautiful plants…and yes keep moving girl!

Boy did I love coming across the odd turtle in some forest in my childhood! And that kale pot dish — please run a quick recipe ‘howto’ by me. 🙂
