Holding on in “the times of trouble.”
“When it rains, it pours.” On Sunday, March 02, 2025, Jernee Timid had a seizure. It was a light episode, lasting about two minutes, and it was the first time she had one. I’ve been mentally preparing for Jernee’s transition for a few years now. The Little Monster is a fighter and seems to fight her way out of every traumatic event that has occurred to her. But this . . . this, I will not tolerate. I will not have her form a life of convulsions and episodic seizures. I just WILL NOT.
She has an appointment next Thursday with her vet for lab work and an overall checkup. They may do some other tests as well while we’re there. However, if she has another seizure, I am to call them and bring her in straight away or go to our Emergency Vet’s office. If the little one makes it to April 06, 2025, she will be 17 years old. But I have to be honest, folks . . . this really took a lot out of her, and I won’t be mad at her one bit if she doesn’t see her seventeenth birthday. I don’t want her suffering, and I will see to it that she does not.

🙏🏾🩵 That Little Monster is such a trooper. I don’t want her to have to fight anymore if she doesn’t need to, though. I’m just prayerful and hopeful. 🙏🏾🩵

Also…I nicknamed my youngest daughter Mook. I’m the only one who calls her that lol

I joke that Jernee will not die because she’s so damn nosy she believes she’ll miss something. I am ready for her to get eternal rest if that’s what she needs and what God wants. I will learn to be okay with time. That’s my road dog–literally.
Ha! I don’t think I’ve ever really called Mook by her actual name much, ever. 🤣😆😂 For years, my mom thought “Mook” was her name. I think it was only about two years ago when I said to my mom, “Depends on what Monique wants to do,” and my mom was like, “Who is Monique?!”
And I said, “Mama! Mook!” And she was like, “Oh, hell. All these years, I thought the baby name was Mook.” 😆😂🤣

🙏🏾🩵 I’m prayerful she’ll make it to her birthday. She’s such a fighter. She hasn’t had another seizure and she’s just a bit slower now, which I can understand. Every day is a test of her strength.

Gorgeous sky and great weekend, ALL except sweet Jernee. Aww sorry about the seizures. Wow, 17 has me beat. Mine only lasts until 16. Good for her and you with all of the love and care. I wouldn’t want her to suffer either but it will sure be a sad day. Hugs and love! ❤️
