Saturday, I had to meet up with our training crew from work to do some Christmas/Holiday shopping for our In-Office Agents and new Hires.
We had a blast! We went to a breakfast spot aptly named First Watch. The food was delicious and my drink (Morning Meditation) was also. We had lovely conversations and discussions as we savored the selections we chose.
We left the place with full bellies and hearts ready to stuff Christmas stockings with various do-dads and trinkets and candy!
Sam’s Club was the next destination, Target, then The Dollar Tree.
Overall, I am exhausted from the outing, but I truly enjoyed myself. And Jernee was so mad that I left without her; you can tell the judgment is being laid on thick from the expression on her face in the photos below.

Later, my cousins came over to visit. My cousin Akua (Ah-Quay-Ah) decided it would be a great idea to walk across the street and get her nails done.
Her mother-in-law and I enjoyed watching Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon while she was away.
She also left Jernee’s second favorite dog/cousin, Drake, with us. Isn’t he handsome?!

Here’s hoping you had an amazing Saturday, and that your Sunday will be a gift straight from heaven.
Peace and blessings, beautiful people.
Smiles back at you. You look so settled with all of your art and friends for Jernee too. So awesome to see you loving it ❣️

Haha. She was probably cussing me out all types of ways in her head, Bella!
And I do so much more now. Before, years ago, I would NOT share photos. I’d be instantly bombarded with madness. And I still get folks in my DMs on Instagram or sending me emails from WordPress, but I’m better equipped to handle the activity now. Before, I was not.

I’m so glad you can handle it now. They weren’t saying bad stuff were they?

Oh, no. Not really bad, more so becoming stalkers of a sort. Hitting me with, “Hey, beautiful. Can we talk?” left and right and right and left. And some of the advances were inappropriate (to say the least), and I was just over it. So, I shelled up and hid myself for years.
If you were reading me on Medium in 2015, many people could not figure out who I was; which gender. Yet, I had women and men sliding in my private notes on a poem or a fictional piece trying to holler at me. And I was like, “really! You can’t even see what I look like?!”
People are weird.

Drake is beautiful but don’t let Jernee hear that else she will get jealous!

Haha. Haha. I say, “Hey, pretty boy” or “Hey, sweet boy” in front of her to him all the time. Lol. She can no longer hear me. I think that’s what is saving me. Lol

Jernee never looks happy 😅

Haha. She’s old and ornery, Matt! You’ve got to look at much older posts to catch her looking happy or doggy-smiling. Lol. She has such a ‘tude now, yet she’s so incredibly calm and quiet. Lol.

That was a great post! Love seeing you smiling in all those pics! We have First Watch restaurants in Texas too, I’ve gone once and had the best smoothie bowl ever, but it was quite expensive.
I hope you didn’t come home to a mess cause Jernee was mad…my dogs do that sometimes. I bet she got glad when her friend came to play. I’m overjoyed you have a group of people you have fun being around!! ❤️😘

Hey, there! I never come home to a mess unless she’s sick and has thrown up or has diarrhea. But those happenings are VERY few now and far between. She doesn’t mess up our home at all, she mostly sleeps while I’m away.
When I open the door and she notices I’m home, she’ll trot right on over to me from either the rug where she’s been sleeping or her bed in the living room. I don’t have trouble with Jernee at all doing anything out of the ordinary while I’m away. *Crosses fingers that doesn’t change* 😆🤣😂
And thank you! It was a great time!

Love the photos – you’re looking radiant (and am pleased to see that Jernee still has the withering glance skill perfected).

Haha! Thank you! I had a great time yesterday! Yes, Jernee is still rocking a powerful side-eye and a disappointed-in-me-sometimes look. Lol.
