Jernee’s last days
Jernee has a vet visit for Friday, September 12, 2025, at 0900. The first thing we will discuss is end-of-life options, and I’m preparing myself for that date to be her last with me.
Letting go should be easy, but I can tell you with 100% certainty that it is not. However, I won’t prolong the inevitable.
These next few weeks are going to try my patience due to Jernee’s decline, but I am going to do everything in my power to make sure she has the best last days on God’s green earth.
I may not have the mental wherewithal to respond to comments, but I will leave them on, and I thank you for any warm wishes, peaceful thoughts, and words of wisdom in advance.

Oh, dear trE. You’re so strong and I’m so sorry for the pain you must be feeling. My mom’s beloved companion went through the same thing a few years ago. Letting go bravely is the ultimate act of love. 💕

Oh my dear friend, these will be hard days, and losing a piece of your heart is crushing, but I am here if you need an ear, a virtual hug, and if these are her last days, I’ll let my girls up top know to give her guidance and love as she crosses the rainbow bridge. I know what a very difficult time this is for you both, and how your only thoughts are to ensure that Jernee suffers as little as possible and experiences your love and care for the remaining time you share. I am so very sorry, Tre. Even knowing that this is the right and compassionate thing to do with my pets when their time comes, it’s still one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. You’ve given her a wonderful life. Peace and love to you and Jernee.
