You’re writing your autobiography. What’s your opening sentence?
My original due date, relayed to my teenage mother, was April 1st, however, I was two weeks late–while still in the womb, I knew I wouldn’t be anyone’s fool, and I was right.
I tell people all the time about how I was two weeks late coming into this world, but I’ve been on time ever since. And I make it my life’s work to NOT be anyone’s fool.
If I could dodge an April Fools’ due date, I can avoid being a habitual fool for anyone.

Mine would be:

I never let the truth get in the way of a good story.

I was supposed to be a Halloween baby; instead I was a Thanksgiving baby. Lemme tell ya, having a 4/7 chance getting out of school on my birthday was worth it! (Sorry, mom!)

My mother used to tell us when we were growing up, “You can learn anything from someone, including a fool, so you won’t be one, a fool!” 😜 I got the picture! 👍🏼

My opening line..if anybody would have told me that after three marriages and a host of failed relationships that I would find peace and satisfaction in being single I would have skipped the drama.
