Well now, let me tell ya ’bout the ol’ crape myrtle. That tree’s somethin’ special, partner. Folks say it stands for love, beauty, long life, and good luck. In many parts, it’s a mighty fine symbol for marriage. Them flowers it sprouts? They ain’t just any blooms—they’re said to be the very flowers of the gods, sacred to Aphrodite herself, the Greek goddess of love. Over the years, lots of folks have come to believe that plantin’ a crape myrtle ’round your place will bring love and peace to your kin.

A beautiful crepe myrtle. I believe that’s the kind of tree featured in the movie Bambi.

Happy Tuesday, TrE! You definitely have me stumped this morning. I have never heard of Summer Suckles. They resemble the Crape Myrtles I have in my yard. Either way, they’re beautiful and so full! Enjoy your day!🙏🏽💕

Haha. I just named it “Summer Suckles’ because that’s what it looks like to me and I named it that way for the photo. I have no idea what kind of tree it is. 🤣😂😆

Oh, that is a pretty tree. We live In Ireland in the midst of fields. However, the owner of those fields seems to have a thing for trees. He cuts them down like there is no tomorrow. It’s terrifying. So we counteract by planting trees on property.
