I am a creative writer who explores all avenues and genres regarding writing, and I am also unafraid to be vulnerable and authentic.
With twenty-four years of experience as a writer, I have many published works across all genres. I published my first book of poetry in June 2005 and four more that followed years later.
I have since written and edited for a few online magazines and platforms. I was an active Writer and a Contributing Editor for P.S. I Love You. I am the editor-in-chief/owner of A Cornered Gurl via the Medium platform, and my personal profile has over 15K followers. I spend most of my time whetting my literary chops at A Cornered Gurl, my WordPress blog, not to be confused with ACG at Medium.
I also have twenty-two years of experience in medical administration, which includes: medical billing, accounts receivable, data entry, and radiology patient scheduling.
I am a hard worker who learns quickly and can be a valuable asset in many areas. My work is hosted and featured in several online and printed journals, such as SMITTEN, The Scene & Heard: Journal of Artistic Reflections, and Quintessence: A Literary Magazine of Featured Medium Writers. I also have four published articles at Thrive Global, each of which has been engaging and impactful.
I recently signed up to write for Substack as well. My first post, “I Said I Wouldn’t Do It,” is live. I welcome your visit.
I am more than breath & bones . . . I am nectar in waiting.

It’s nice to meet you Tre. Coincidentally, I also have a character named Clover. I have never otherwise seen the name. 😊. Hugs.

Peace. It’s rather nice to meet you as well. Ah, yes, Clover. Many of my readers love that little eccentric, bubbly, and mature little one.
Thank you for stopping by. 🙏🏾

trE, I haven’t been around in ages, but am beginning to recover the part of my life that was on hold for quite a while. Reading some of your work actually reminded me who I really am at my core. I’m beginning to really want to write again, and I thank you so much for just being who you are, and tweaking something deep within to get back to where I belong. You are an amazing writer, so focused, so full of truth (your own!) You’re the best – Deb at Living like Water

Dear ACorneredgurl,
You are blessed with the gift to communicate emotions that I often struggle with. I am not Black. My daughter is and she is a lesbian. I am a disabled white woman in Sweden who watches the silent blue eyed stare from strangers on the street who scan her and turn away their eyes quickly when I put my pale flesh around her shoulders and kiss her cheek and say, ” I love you. Have a good day.” No one deserves to feel like you or her and this world I want to believe in…like those before us did…yet, I am blinded some days by the stains humanity overall continues to splatter. Blessed Be.

Do what you can when you can to be there for your daughter. It sounds like you have an amazing relationship with her. She needs that, I assure you she does.

She is so loved. We have built our own tribe of loving “chosen” family and it’s amazing. I love your writing. 🕊️

Is this the story of your adolescence or is Clover a fictional character? Sorry if I didn’t understand correctly. I have to translate everything into Italian to better understand the posts.

Clover is a fictional character. And no apology necessary. I’m glad you read the story. Thank you.
