A Rapid Rhyme (Audio)

He calls her up, one more time
for a memorable event
Blessing her with extras like
they do Jake cuz she’s got great rates
Put the money where it hides
tips her more than she desires

She doesn’t even count it anymore
lets it pile up like before
She’ll have enough for a new car
new house . . . new life
No more sticks
No more stones and absolutely
no more broken bones

He woos her with his lisp
showers her with special gifts
She pawns them at “The County Dime”
They pay her for her time
She leaves him empty-handed
Ole boy is whipped and stranded
She doesn’t even look back

Girl’s got moves to make
hijacks his heart and that’s the breaks
No one comes to his aid
this is what happens when everything
you want isn’t stamped “paid”
He searches for an exit

None can be found
None is at the ready
She keeps things nice and steady
Prepares herself for a new leaf
changes colors . . . changes beliefs
But still remains the same

the gifted boy and loves past

A Rapid Rhyme Audio Poem

The gifted boy chose his chore,
an invitation to toy with others
who bore the pain
from life’s insane paths

a kid big on master plans
he demands the same treatment
& has no fans
in his misty eyes,
he holds the cries
of loves past

too many to name,
none of them would last

Lucky Lou, Stu, and the Woman

A Rapid Rhyme

A Rapid Rhyme Audio Poem

Lucky Lou said to Stu
that he’d catch the girl
who rocked their world
& make plans to do more
than hold hands

what Stu didn’t know
wouldn’t hurt his flow &
Lucky Lou was cool too
besides being a fool in
love with a woman who’d glide

right on to the next,
Lou only wanted sex

to the beekeeper who lacked honey

A Rapid Rhyme Audio Poem

Grim is the tide for the
willing woman who rides
the waves of life,
subdues her strife, &
calms the raging seas.

She pleases refined minds
and massages willing culprits
reduced to kneeling knees.

Bold & black & beautiful
but not to be seduced,
sweet as honey from the bees.

A Rapid Rhyme Audio Poem

A breath. A sigh.
A brokenhearted woman
who can’t seem to catch the eyes
of her lover from another,
spent too many nights in blunder.
Had to give her cheating husband
the divorce he wanted just to quell
the thunder in their home,
there lies dysfunction,
so the street, he roams.
