new neighbors moved in
next door.
I worry about how
they’ll be–who they are
when the day turns
to night and the need
for fake(ness) fades.
cute couple–extra smiley
with matching names.
the dog scrutinizes the
young man–low growls as
he passes by.
I think to myself,
“If she doesn’t like him,
we’re in a world of
trouble.”
I also think,
“You shouldn’t overanalyze
this–it could be okay.”
we’ll see.
Dogs always know.

I’m always a little skeptical when it comes to new neighbours so I get how you feel.

We gone have new neighbours soon, the house is empty at the moment, I shall just wait and see what the cat thinks of them first! 😀 XX

So funny; we all make up stories about our neighbors but when you’re a writer it can get wild! 😂 That growl, tho…

Listen, she is NOT FEELING him right now. Maybe that will change, but I usually depend heavily on her for judgement of character. Lol!

I totally get that thinking. My wife and I have had our share of some seriously BAD and scary neighbors over the years.

Yeah, you never know WHO you’re going to get when a neighbor or neighbors move out. LOL.

I hope they turn out to be perfect neighbours, there if you need them, unseen and unheard the majority of the time.

I hope so too, Peter! Jernee low-growling at the young man, though, gives me pause. She LOVED our last neighbors so much. Two, sweet young men; respectable, kind, and dog lovers. I guess I’ll just have to see what’s going to go down. Lol.

Trust Jernee. It’s rare to mourn when a neighbor moves out.
