I don’t just want to get in your bed,
I want to get in you.
Into your mind–your heart.
I know there’s fear, trust me, I am pushing
through trying to demagnetize the world around
me so that I can cling to you.

I have watched you,
you’re trying to learn about things,
drinking in the knowledge of your surroundings and
I am a patient person.
I want you to flourish,
We can wait for the right time
to deflower–your petals
will never need as much pruning
as mine.
I want to find a way to tell you
that I am the one–
I can be.
But, the shadows are a comfort,
my hiding place.
They know how to shelter me
when you do not.
After all, we are both still nursing
broken hearts and even though we have been hurt,
tipping the scales before it’s time
would hurt us more.
But, I am here, you know?
Just in case.
Very moving, Tre!

Thank you, Mags. I was worried about this one while writing it. The middle came to me with no issues, but the beginning and end took a little time.

You’re welcome, Tre. I couldn’t tell from reading it that you took longer to write the beginning and end… it flows so well!
