I LOVE love. I love it even more when I believe it has forgotten me. I love it even more after that when I remember that it never will. As long as I keep this as the center of my thought-process when it comes to love, I will overcome my fears and feelings of loss at love.

I could never truly connect with either of my parents. It’s a loss that’s always present – it ebbs and flows. I also lost both siblings to drugs so I can’t have them in my life any more. I’ve come to realise in my middle years that life is about love and loss. Whilst people are the most important thing, sometimes we have to hold them at arm’s length, sadly.
