Oh…looking at you and Jernee looking so peaceful just lifts my heart. And I love how Jernee continues with her business in the photo. She’s really a treasure. Please scratch her ears and give her treats for me! (PS: I’m starting on one of your ebooks, “A New Kind of Down”. Love the poems in there!)
Hey, thank you, Tien! Aww, look at you copping an e-book! Thank you! When you’re done, if you don’t mind, please review it. Good or bad or in between, I’d like to know.
And I’ll scratch Jernee behind the ears for you. 😊
I hope dear Jernee and yourself are coping well with the heat. We’re having high temperatures here, my poor dogs and I don’t do well with the heat – even though I’m making the rooms as cool as possible.
I don’t like high temperatures, but during the summer months, that’s to be expected here. Do we like it? No. But, thankfully, we manage. I don’t stay out in the heat long at all and I definitely fit walk Jernee for long walks when it’s too hot. We have central ac, so inside, it’s always cool. It’s a blessing, really.
England has become much hotter since the 1980’s when I was a child; we’d have several feet of snow during the winter, which we rarely get now. John, half-Greek but born in Canada seems to tolerate extreme heat but I like the cold more than him! Great that you have ac, we thankfully have it in the living room. 🙂
Born in Canada, but can manage with extreme heat?! Every Canadian that I know finds it appalling. Lol. I’m from the deep South, where it’s mostly the hottest and even I cannot deal with it. It’s one of the reasons why I moved a bit north, still in the South, though. Lol.
LOL, it must be his Greek side. The South sounds VERY hot! Tre, I believe you’re from North Carolina? I had a boyfriend, Jelani (I don’t know the spelling), from there. He was in the army, based in Heidelberg. I lived in Germany for over a decade.
I am actually from Savannah, GA. I moved a bit north to North Carolina, yes. It’s much calmer in temps during the summer months in comparison to Savannah, GA. Lol. Yup, his Greek side could be the reason why, Mediterranean blood and all. 😊
It was a kind of fun romance, on-off over 18 months. We had no contact since he left me all those years ago. I’m shocked and upset (especially for him) that his life ended so early (I’m 6 years older). Thanks Tre. Yes, I read it, the photo looks like him, he’d do that serious looking pose. His birthdate, the army…but the details are scant.
He had another name, an English one but I can’t remember it. He gave me his African one. His mother was single then, I remember the sisters. I’d tell him to call his mother back home because he was only 19, to keep in touch with her.
Sounds pleasant for a Saturday afternoon. Or evening. (I forget where you live, but hope the weather isn’t terribly hot. We’re roasting in the northwest!) Have a good rest! 😊
Pets can teach us a lot about true unconditional love… I think humankind has a lot to learn from them…

Hahahaha, I have finally “upgraded” to e-book, although I don’t understand why it’s superior…
Sure thing, Tre. I’ll review it. It’s just that it’s going to take a while for me to finish it cos life is hectic for me at the moment.
And belly rubs for Jernee as well! Unless she hates it, of course. 😁😁😁

Haha. You take your time. I, for one, would never consider an e-book superior to an actual book. I don’t much care for e-books to be blatantly honest.
And Jernee loves belly rubs. 😊

Gosh, Tre, I’m not joking…I just searched his name and found someone who looks and sounds like him, it was almost 20 years ago, but he’s dead – only 39!
