A mother does not know
how not to protect her young.

Instincts…

If you pull her from
the beating heart of
her offspring, she will
cut you with her eyes
and kill you with her tongue.

Defenses…

You can try if you like,
you can pull if you want,
you can tread demanding waters
that know no bounds,
but you will not cross.

Denial…

A mother does not know
how not to protect her young.

She will give you her life
to save what is most important.

Sacrifice.
